- Elly is a 23 year old lady living in London. She prefers to spend her days outside, unless its raining (like it always is in London) those days she plumps herself down in libraries where old Turkish men debate politics. She is in the final stretch of her university career, studying for a MA in Human Rights Law at the School of Oriental and African Studies (an old school in the heart of London where people use to learn how to be colonizers. Today they mostly study the “exotic other”). Before moving to London to eat chips and drink tea, Elly lived in Ann Arbor Michigan where she got degrees in Political Science and Anthropology and somehow managed a minor in Asian Studies. She loved Ann Arbor and left huge chunks of her heart there, as most students do. Ellys real claim to fame is her upbringing in Cheboygan, Michigan. What a hometown. The image that comes to your mind of this small town is probably correct, therefore Elly feels no need to boast. Her hometown is better than yours. Today you can find Elly unduly procrastinating her dissertation on sex workers human rights and instead attempting to launch a blog where women around her age discuss political, sexual and religious controversies from their own insightful and marginalized minds.
